Groomed by the Shepherd

When we follow the Lord and delight to do His will, He equips us to accomplish His purposes on earth. At times He may provide a way  for us to gain knowledge or skills through formal or informal education/training.  Apart from His anointing all of our own accomplishments are worthless. With His anointing all we’ve gone through, lessons learned, and education/skills acquired can be used by the Master for a beautiful outcome.

I have a very specific purpose for you, and what I have for you will not be just an availability but a perfect fit. My love, your willingness to reveal the deepest parts of yourself and let Me flow through you and teach you how to let Me flow through you honors Me, blesses Me, delights Me.

I speak to you now, I whisper to your spirit with My own voice and I say I anoint you to flow in Me. You’ve not know how, you’ve thought that man had to anoint and recognize the giftings I’ve placed in you to be credentialed, but I tell you this day I credential you.

What I have for you to do is much more intimate and a flowing in Me that only I can teach. Yes, My love,  I will teach you of new ways to let My spirit flow and My giftings come forth, but know that each will be a way that man recognizes Me and the cry in His heart.

My love, I’ve seen each effort you’ve made to serve Me, to proclaim Me, I’ve seen your motivations, nothing is hidden from Me. I saw the songs you sang, the classes you taught, the words you shared, and even the times you laid before Me with bible and heart open and it seemed as though nothing changed or moved – but you were willing to be there and sit before Me.

Man has often overlooked you as My called and anointed vessel. Man often overlooks the ones I choose for My very high purposes. Did not David’s father overlook him so that Samuel had to ask, “Is there another?” I sent Him to anoint My king and he discerned the gifting and call was not in these he saw with outside appearance and demeanor. I chose the one who wrestled bear in the back fields and protected My sheep, the one who worshiped Me under the stars and in the sunshine, the one who practiced My presence and walked with Me.

My love, you had to learn not to depend on man’s praise or accolades but to move in Me, for what I have for you to do requires that you know Me beyond any shadow of doubt. I will gift you to step out higher and see My manifest presence and might. My love, man will say, “What is that you do?” and you will just go on with Me and later they will see Me at work, see My arm at work, see the results. Had I not trained you to rely solely on Me, you would have been swayed by man’s opinions and would not have pushed on to believe and follow Me.

Man is limited in his thinking, though His heart may desire Me and to see Me move, yet how limited the thinking of what is possible. Beloved, you do not see this way, you see with open eyes and hearts believing all is possible that I desire to do. You only look to Me for direction on what to believe and what is My heart – My love, I can do so much with this. You are willing to wait before Me and see what the Lord would l have you do, impart to you, inspire in your thinking. This is needful.

Beloved, yes, so many times man could have chosen to groom you and recognize what I’ve placed in you, but did not and chose others or rejected you utterly. Open your mouth wide and I will fill it, for I have chosen to groom you and take very special care of raising you up to be what I’ve called and created you to be.

My love, you are willing to believe Me for every detail and this I see and delight to meet. I can bring forth water from the rock, so too can I bring forth means from any direction I choose. In My flow I will provide means.

  • “Samuel did what the Lord said. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town trembled when they met him. They asked, ‘Do you come in peace?’  Samuel replied, ‘Yes, in peace; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves and come to the sacrifice with me.’ Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice. When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, ‘Surely the Lord’s anointed stands here before the Lord.’  But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’ Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass in front of Samuel. But Samuel said, ‘The Lord has not chosen this one either.’ Jesse then had Shammah pass by, but Samuel said, ‘Nor has the Lord chosen this one.’ Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, ‘The Lord has not chosen these.’ So he asked Jesse, ‘Are these all the sons you have?’ ‘There is still the youngest,’ Jesse answered. ‘He is tending the sheep.’ Samuel said, ‘Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.’ So he sent for him and had him brought in. He was glowing with health and had a fine appearance and handsome features. Then the Lord said, ‘Rise and anoint him; this is the one.’ So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.”  I Samuel 16:4-13
  • “We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.  No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’ – the things God has prepared for those who love him – these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.  The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for, ‘Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.’”  I Corinthians 2:6-16
