In Green Pastures

There is a place, a green meadow where we meet with God in prayer and worship. Here are satisfied and our mouths drip wide with awe, for we can even see those requests and pleadings we have laid before Him.  In this place all that matters is His presence, we see those requests and they are no longer above us, but below us and the answer is, “yes and Amen.  Here we do not long for those answered prayers but long purely for Him. Let us always dwell in this place, for here we change the world. The prayers are answered, the mountains are moved, but this is not the goal. The finish line is His presence, even during the journey.Green Pastures 2

Beloved, I long to meet you in this place. Above the circumstance, above your care, above your asking and only you and Me as one. You can dwell here not just in worship, but in the everyday, in your walking, and driving, and moving about. In your daily tasks that are common and in those that are lofty and above you – dwell with Me here.

I will flow from you freely and your strength will be replaced with Mine. Your wisdom with Mine, your love with Mine. How whole and complete this walk is in the land of the living, it is only a taste of what you will be and move in when you come to be with Me, when time is no more.

This place where you know My will and do not have to wonder what My answer will be, for you see all of your requests laid before Me and you see I delight to answer them fully in My way and time so that all may live and benefit even beyond your understanding.

This place is beyond your earthly desires that draw you down and make you heavy. Here My yoke is easy and My burden is light. This is for all those who are called by My name – it is My green pastures. Become comfortable in this lofty height – far above the cares and ties of the world. Seek first Me and My righteousness and all these other things will be added unto you. Here is where your desires meet My abundant supply and you finally see that I Am more than you need, I Am The way that you seek, I Am.

Make melody in your heart to Me, for this is a choice, and commit all your cares and even those circumstances or behaviors in yourself or others that raise up and look unsightly and even evil, take these to Me and I will change and clean them up. Yours is to rest in My pastures and be refreshed in Me, for here I will tell you where to go, when to stop, and will orchestrate in great detail. Here your attitude changes from “Lord, I need..” to “Lord, You provide…”

  • “Then the Lord was jealous for his land and took pity on his people. The Lord replied to them: ‘I am sending you grain, new wine and olive oil, enough to satisfy you fully; never again will I make you an object of scorn to the nations. I will drive the northern horde far from you, pushing it into a parched and barren land; its eastern ranks will drown in the Dead Sea and its western ranks in the Mediterranean Sea. And its stench will go up; its smell will rise.’ Surely he has done great things! Do not be afraid, land of Judah; be glad and rejoice. Surely the Lord has done great things! Do not be afraid, you wild animals, for the pastures in the wilderness are becoming green. The trees are bearing their fruit; the fig tree and the vine yield their riches. Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before. The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. ‘I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten – the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm – my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed. Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed. And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.’”  Joel 2:18-32
  •  “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”   Psalm 23:1-3
