In this “such a time as this” in which we are living, the battle is not only in the body but in the mind. Clearing the clutter of the now, the lies, the twisted realities the world calls “good” for those actions and mindsets that are contrary to the Word of God run rampant. The temptation is great o walk in our feelings of how we interpret situations that ire ambiguous or straightforwardly unjust. The alternative is to walk in the Spirit and not gratify the works of the flesh. In this way we can walk in God’s peace that passes all understanding, lean on Him to make the way as He moves us to action, and Stop walking in anxiety, resentment, and anger.
Below are words of wisdom from a seasoned pastor and his wife that came to me in one of those hard wrestling seasons of disappointment and what seemed to feel like being stuck. I hope these words bless you as they did me, causing a sense of hope and freedom to overcome all disappointment and despair.
“I know it seems like a painful journey. Just give up! Pray to God, “I can’t do this so if this is what you have for me, I submit to you.”
Let it go. Look around you and be grateful. Let God take it and carry it and do what he wants with the whole situation. You’re striving and trying too hard. Just give up.
You can’t be grateful and anxious at the same time.“

1 Thessalonians 5:14-18
And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 5:6-11
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 100:1-5
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
