When All Seems Dark

When mourning the loss of a dear saint of God who finished her race and was so precious to me in this walk on earth, I received the following word. Whether you face a circumstance of death of a loved one or an seemingly insurmountable opposition that leaves you with strained hope, take heart for the Lord is with us. When we feel empty and alone, He is there to comfort and guide us and give us new vision for the future. Remember, He desires to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us a hope and a future. When our races are done we get to go be with Him. Take heart, for we all wait with great expectation on the glory that will be revealed as we behold Him when we have finished our race.

When-All-Seems-Dark

When all seems dark around thee, when only groans and utterances in tongues come forth, when you have no words but grief, know that I Am there with thee. I will lead and guide you. Take comfort in My presence, know that I Am. Nothing takes Me by surprise.

You look to Me and say, “Who am I to fulfill Your will here on earth? For I am less than nothing.” My love, know that I still have plans for thee, I have plans to prosper you and not to curse you, to give you a hope and a future. Do not look at circumstances that surround you to determine My will, listen to what I speak in your heart – above doubt and fear and in the full light of My glory and in My strength inside of you, and know My will for you.

Know what I plan to do with your next steps. For surely, I have next steps planned of you. You look to the right and left to find something that will satisfy this deep longing and emptiness within, but I am your satisfaction. I Am all that you need. I provide a way, a desire to follow Me, and means. Yours is only to say, “Yes, Lord.”

  • The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted: I said in my haste, All men are liars. What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me? I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.” Psalm 116:3-17
