Resurrected Promises

What’s next, Lord? You’ve spoken Your promises over me and I believed, You took me through a time of refinement – an extended time. I dwelt in a valley that looked as though none of Your promises could come forth, as though too much time had passed and my circumstance and season of life had changed, so these dreams were offered on the alter was dead. Yet, even now I feel hope surfacing deep within, a sweet and loving voice whispering to my spirit, “There’s more, I’ve made you ready.”

No man can know the exact time and season for My words to be fulfilled, for man does not understand what I must make ready within him and outside of him to bring forth. For some the season is short and for others it is long and much long-suffering must be borne. You’ve borne this with Me and watched with the heart condition of “Your will be done.”

Each promise and each word of what I desired to bring forth in your life seemed to fade away and none spoke of them, not even you, for you would not let your mind wander to them again but considered them dead. I brought you to the end of yourself, your strength, your abilities, and desires to bring these things forth and walk in them, so you would walk in them in My strength, My giftings, My anointing. Did not Abraham offer Isaac, the thing most dear to Him and My promise fulfilled to Him, upon the alter and then received him back as though raised from the dead. So too I bring forth those deep things I’ve purposed in you from the foundations of the world. I have need of you to fulfill them, but I had need to prepare you so they would not crush you.

When you offered the fulfilling of My promises to Me and reasoned, “The Lord must not want me to have this or do that, so I’ll just do what He has placed before Me as unto Him.” Here you have learned in the small and great things to operate in My strength and to work in My flow. How pivotal a lesson for My children to learn, for in walking with Me rather than working for Me I can strengthen, move upon, and mold into any pot I see fit. The vessel does not ask Me what I am making, but moves as I touch and is willingly formed into a useful vessel for Me to pour through.

Beloved, My whisperings to your spirit do not come in vain, for I plan to fulfill My purposes for you. You will fully understand that it is not you who bring these things forth, but Me working in your life and opening doors that before were not just shut but hidden. I make the way before you, let this hope usher in a joy in knowing I Am at work in your life.

Know that I delight to bring you into a greater place than even you dwell now. You will look back and say, “Surely the Lord has done mighty things. I would never have thought of or expected it to come in that way.” I delight in awing My poised vessels who are ready to serve and adore Me in all things.

Genesis 22:9-18

“And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, ‘Abraham, Abraham,’ and he said, ‘Here am I.’ And he said, ‘Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.’ And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen. And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, and said, ‘By myself have I sworn,’ saith the Lord, ‘for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.’”

Hebrews 11:8-12

“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.”
