My Tender Reed

My beloved, know that all these things I do, for I tenderly care for you, I delight in you. I will make the latter half of your life on earth better than your former. I will bind up your wounds and make you one that can release those from their prisons – both in the physical and spiritual. Your voice will be one of influence, for you will speak with My authority.

My vessel, you will be my tender reed that does not harm, but supports and equips. Your fruit will be what others build upon, the reed is not a beating stick but a support beam. Because you believed My word, you chose to believe every letter, everything I said you could do through Me.

You chose to not limit Me, now I will come and sup with you and bring you out to display My mighty works through you.  You chose to believe, when you didn’t know how, when you looked in the face of despair and an emptiness filled with no hope, no evidence of My light, you looked and chose to believe My word is true.

Isaiah 61:1-3

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”

Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Psalm 18:34-36

“He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.”
