Lesson of Humility

My love, I paint a vast and colorful picture before you. What have I for your life to be? What do I have need for you to do with your days? Your times are in My hands. I have had need to refine you in the furnace of affliction and you have come out unscathed. My love, how much you repined, but at last you have seen the beauty of dwelling together in unity, of preferring another more than yourself. Even if one has vast wisdom learned from high level experiences, I delight when such a one gives way and considers that, yes, perhaps another can have better ideas then they themselves. Rather, be free to share and collaborate and create with others. In doing this, learn the delightful lesson of humility.

Do I not delight in the humble. How I’ve needed to bring you to this place to receive of Me, for how great of things I desire to pour out on you. In this place you will not believe the blessings result from your own effort, but will know it is My undeserved favor and so receive with genuine thankfulness – not with an interwoven thread of deservedness.

My love, be light, continue in this way of preferring others above yourself and stay cast low and watch how I will raise you up. Did I not do so for some around you, for Gideon, for Moses, and others even with their faults and failings, for they stayed low before Me. I move upon the lowly and humble in heart. Stay bowed down and see what blessing I will pour out that you cannot contain but will have to share with others for you will proclaim, “It’s too much!” Out of your lack you have continued to pour forth as I have prompted and given opportunity, and now in your abundance you will pour forth so much more.

Psalm 25:8-9

“Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.”

Proverbs 22:4

“Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life.”

James 4:7-10

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.”
