He Leadeth Me

     I Am will lead you. Be not alarmed at men’s schemes or when they succeed in their ways. Yours is to follow Me. You are cumbered about with much care. I tell you, I have need of thee. Be not alarmed that I will not use you. For I will make a way for you out of no way. I will make you very successful. Do not doubt that I Am for you.

     When you follow My promptings and proclaim without fear of man, I will reward thee, I will bless thee. You have not been ashamed of Me. Beloved, do not fear decisions or actions of others, for I will abundantly bless all you put your hand to as you walk with Me. My love, you have been willing to face rejection and stand where I call you. You know My plans for you, do not fear their responses of others, I will judge.

  • “But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.”  Numbers 14:24
  • He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.”  Psalm 37:6-9
  • And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”  Matthew 4:19
  • “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.”  Matthew 10:37-39

Hymn: He Leadeth Me
By: Joseph H. Gilmore – 1862

He leadeth me, O blessed thought!
O words with heav’nly comfort fraught!
Whate’er I do, where’er I be
Still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me.

Sometimes ’mid scenes of deepest gloom,
Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom,
By waters still, o’er troubled sea,
Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me.

Lord, I would place my hand in Thine,
Nor ever murmur nor repine;
Content, whatever lot I see,
Since ’tis my God that leadeth me.

And when my task on earth is done,
When by Thy grace the vict’ry’s won,
E’en death’s cold wave I will not flee,
Since God through Jordan leadeth me.

Chorus:
He leadeth me, He leadeth me,
By His own hand He leadeth me;
His faithful foll’wer I would be,
For by His hand He leadeth me.
