Great is Thy Faithfulness

Oh taste and see that the Lord is good. How faithful He is. Let us turn our hearts to mediate on this aspect of His character. When we have this attribute firmly in our hearts then there is no fear of man, of evil, of life, of death, or the unknown. For God is all knowing, the author and perfecter of our faith, and on Him we can rely. Be at peace oh man and woman of God, for our God reigns. Bless Him at our trust in Him and in His great faithfulness.

You speak of My great faithfulness. Know this, know this about Me. I Am faithful as thy healer, thy deliverer, thy provider, thy inspiration. You will see My great faithfulness. My words will not return to Me void, but will accomplish all that I sent it to do.

My child’s disobedience does not affect just him, but all who come in contact with that life, with my orchestrated plans. I do not condemn you. I refresh you and redeem you. I know your heart and I lead those who are weak along a slower way, I wait for them to catch up and then lead them along steep paths as their strength and faith allow.

Not one moment is wasted, even in your standing still. I use this to strengthen you, to reveal My great workings and ways. You are now ready to walk with Me on the heights without fear of man, without delay. Even as Elijah hid in a cave when he came to the end of himself, so too you came to the end of yourself in the flesh and saw how great My ways are by looking back. I used this time to call to remembrance all the great things I have done. I made this time a time of refreshment and rebuilding.

I have equipped you to know how important it is for My children, My servants to follow My words and follow closely behind Me, without speculating or seeking the council of unwise men, without gossiping or slandering, but living according to My principles. Giving honor to those placed in authority over you, without scheming or manipulating the situations, but doing every task as unto Me. Speaking peace to those who need comfort, giving encouragement to the weary, without maligning those who are over you.

When the storm has passed, My beloved will come out unscathed. What I have for you to do calls for your separation from such matters and practices. You are to be without blame or even residue or stench of the smoke of discontent, for your contentedness comes from Me. See what I will do with a heart fully committed to Me, who says, though he slay me, yet will I trust HIM.

Know My desired path for you. My love I delight in sharing My plans. It is a natural way for the creator of the universe to commune with His creation, did I not do this with Adam and Eve, even with Enoch, and with those who sought after Me.  With those who will come and sit still and listen to Me and even believe that I desire to speak with them and share mysteries with them.This was My plan and to not do this is unnatural.

I desire to speak to you throughout your time on earth so that you get to know Me and enjoy Me during your appointed time here. So much I could accomplish through man, would that men would listen to Me. I desire to speak to you and reveal My plans for your life. For what purpose is life unless it is lived for the Creator’s purposes.

When men struggle and try to find their own way, then there is no peace or fullness. I make all things for a purpose and a time a season under heaven. Without vision and purpose the people perish. I would not that any perish, but come to the full knowledge of My purposes for them.

Psalm 26:3

“I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.”

Psalm 36:5-6

“Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,  your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,  your justice like the great deep.  You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.”

Psalm 30:8-10

“To you, Lord, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy: What is gained if I am silenced, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you?   Will it proclaim your faithfulness? Hear, Lord, and be merciful to me; Lord, be my help.”

Psalm 40:10

“I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly.”

Psalm 86:10-12

“For you are great and do marvelous deeds;  you alone are God. Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;  I will glorify your name forever.”

Psalm 89:1-2

“I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known  through all generations. I will declare that your love stands firm forever,  that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.”

Psalm 91-3-6

“Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;  his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,  nor the plague that destroys at midday.”

Psalm 117:2

“For great is his love toward us,  and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!”

Song “Great is Thy Faithfulness”

By Thomas O. Chisholm (1923)

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
there is no shadow of turning with thee;
thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
as thou hast been thou forever will be.

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
sun, moon and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
to thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Chorus:
Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
all I have needed thy hand hath provided;
great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
