Freedom from Disorders

What man calls a disorder, God views as his children not taking their rightful place, being filled with faith and trust, and resting their all in Him. When we use other methods (food, drugs, drink, or other addictions) to distract ourselves from pain, boredom, or circumstance we accomplish nothing but heap more heavy burdens upon ourselves. When we trust in God and seek Him to be our full satisfaction we are free to receive His grace, strength, and peace for each moment.

The Lord spoke to me about my method of distracting myself and sedating through the use of food. I had what the world called an “eating disorder” but the Lord just showed me the disorder was not focusing on Him and turning to other ways to get satisfaction and feel worth. He did not condemn me, though I condemned myself. He spoke of a balanced life and freedom. This word can be applied to any method we use to zone out and find peace apart from Him.

Do you think I would not speak to you because of your performance with food, do you think I would condemn you? I paid the price for you that you might be made whole. I Am your righteousness. Let not these feverish pursuits for satisfaction consume you. There are times to feast and times to fast. Binging is a forced feast.

I do not judge my children for their consumption of food, just eat out of gratefulness and thanksgiving. Do not eat to satisfy an unmet desire. I want your body healthy and lean, the way I created it. Give it the foods I created for you and it will naturally accomplish this without your struggling, obsessive focus, or ways you contrive to make up for a binge.

Trust my creation. Relax, my child, trust in Me, and be made whole. When you are hungry eat My foods, they will satisfy, they will nourish, your body will conform to the image I created you to be.

  • “And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”  Luke 12:22-32
