As you learn to follow my promptings and walk with Me, it is like a dance. When you first learn a new dance, the steps can feel awkward. When you first learn to lift your voice in authentic praise to Me, you may miss a few notes. When you move as I prompt you in your life or deliver a word in season inspired by My Spirit, your speech may be imperfect.
These letting go’s of yourself can feel humiliating. Some can feel insecure in walking a new way in any part of their life. Insecurity is not overcome by flesh contrived confidence, it is settled in confidence in following My promptings and leaving the results to Me.
In this place of operating with Me – you are unmoved if you are misunderstood, if others criticize you, if you are debased or exalted. It is a place of freedom from the attitudes of man for you are fully delighted in Me.
Fear not humiliation, for the steps will become surer and your voice will be established as you walk with Me. You will fear not failing or not meeting a mark of perfection that you or others have set.
I see your heart and the motivations by which you move, let there be truth in the inner parts between thee and Me. We are one. As you follow My promptings to dance and sing to Me in every aspect of your life you will be in unity with My body the Church.
Luke 4:1-15
“Jesus returned from the Jordan River full of the Holy Spirit, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. There he was tempted for forty days by the devil. He ate nothing during those days and afterward Jesus was starving. The devil said to him, ‘Since you are God’s Son, command this stone to become a loaf of bread.’ Jesus replied, ‘It’s written, People won’t live only by bread.’ Next the devil led him to a high place and showed him in a single instant all the kingdoms of the world. The devil said, ‘I will give you this whole domain and the glory of all these kingdoms. It’s been entrusted to me and I can give it to anyone I want. Therefore, if you will worship me, it will all be yours.’ Jesus answered, ‘It’s written, You will worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’ The devil brought him into Jerusalem and stood him at the highest point of the temple. He said to him, ‘Since you are God’s Son, throw yourself down from here; for it’s written: He will command his angels concerning you, to protect you 11 and they will take you up in their hands so that you won’t hit your foot on a stone.’ Jesus answered, ‘It’s been said, Don’t test the Lord your God.’ After finishing every temptation, the devil departed from him until the next opportunity. Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news about him spread throughout the whole countryside. He taught in their synagogues and was praised by everyone.”
Luke 2:25-35
“A man named Simeon was in Jerusalem. He was righteous and devout. He eagerly anticipated the restoration of Israel, and the Holy Spirit rested on him. The Holy Spirit revealed to him that he wouldn’t die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. Led by the Spirit, he went into the temple area. Meanwhile, Jesus’ parents brought the child to the temple so that they could do what was customary under the Law. Simeon took Jesus in his arms and praised God. He said, ‘Now, master, let your servant go in peace according to your word, because my eyes have seen your salvation. You prepared this salvation in the presence of all peoples. It’s a light for revelation to the Gentiles and a glory for your people Israel.’ His father and mother were amazed by what was said about him. Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, ‘This boy is assigned to be the cause of the falling and rising of many in Israel and to be a sign that generates opposition so that the inner thoughts of many will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your innermost being too.”
Acts 20:22-24
“Now, compelled by the Spirit, I’m going to Jerusalem. I don’t know what will happen to me there. What I do know is that the Holy Spirit testifies to me from city to city that prisons and troubles await me. But nothing, not even my life, is more important than my completing my mission. This is nothing other than the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus: to testify about the good news of God’s grace.”
