Identity and Circumstances

The Lord has been teaching me how important it is to understand our identity in Him. Knowing who we are in Jesus can change everything from the way we live, respond, walk, talk, dress, and even how we believe for what is possible. When seeking the Lord on a miracle of healing for a dear soul, He not only confirmed that, yes, healing is His will and all would be well in that situation, but He expanded the conversation from answered prayer to our standing in Him and what this looks like in the every day:

Everything changes when once you discover your identity in Me, once you walk in who you are in Me. All power, authority, and righteousness I give to those who are called by My name, to those who dwell in Me, who abide in Me, who follow the promptings of the Holy spirit within them. You wonder how healings can occur – that which was is, it is healed and made new, because you speak it in My name. You wonder how miracles can manifest, how circumstances can change, how men’s hearts can melt like wax and be receptive. Because you are in Me, because you know who you are, because you speak with My authority and in My will, for we are One, My child.

Mark 9:22-24

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.”

Romans 16:24-27

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: to God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.”

I Corinthians 1:27-31

“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God – that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: ‘Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.’”

Revelation 1:17-18

“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
