More than a Conqueror

When God’s people faced a battle against their enemies they did not know what to do, but sought God on how to fight. The enemy was endeavoring to drive them out of the land God had given them. God’s reply was:

“…‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel.  You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’  Jehoshaphat bowed down with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the Lord.”  2 Chronicles 20:15-18

In the morning of the battle, they began to sing and praise and God sent ambushes against the enemy and destroyed them. The enemy even began to turn on one another until they were all destroyed. The children of Israel worked three days to gather the spoils of this battle they did not even need to fight.  God’s ways are not our ways. When we face trials and resistance of various kinds, seek Him who is your defender. Seek God, your hero, and do it His way. He will give you the victory and abundantly bless you with all you need.

Do not be discouraged, beloved, in anything you face, for you are more than a conqueror when you are one with Christ. No matter who or what you enemy is, honor God by seeking Him, listening, and following His lead as He guides you through every situation.

Let not your walk be one of inconsistency, where one day you are confident and another you are in fear. Behold, I am your God and I will still give thee aid. I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand, upheld by My righteous omnipotent hand.

Keep your heart soft/pliable before Me and I will make your way. Do not let pride, insecurity, or fear of man impede your walk with Me. Keep your heart stilled and settled in Me and let My words of comfort be your strength. I will even fight for you and make a creative way in diverse situations.

Do not limit Me by what you think is possible. Let your heart be gentle and filled with My love toward all. Let My praise be found in your mouth. Oh watch what I will do.
