While waiting before the Lord, a strong desire surfaced from deep within to have no part of the noise of today, to work only in the niche that God has called me to and nothing else, to learn the technology He would have me use, to operate in the realm He has prepared for Me, with no additional angst.
For such a time as this, I have made you. The deep utterance of desire comes from your spirit mingled with My spirit within you. You have stilled and quieted yourself to hear Me. Really hear what I desire for your life.
Have I not created you for a specific purpose, to operate within specific boundaries. I speak thus to clear any confusion over the purpose for which you were created. You were made to pour out. But to do so You must receive from Me.
In every situation you were in, you poured out. Though at times not My pure flow of rivers of living water, but your actions and efforts were to display Me, even at times, the little of Me that you held to. Many times you poured forth from your flesh, and how exhausting this was. My love, I’ve called you to pour forth from My Spirit, from My limitless supply.
I do not retract your tent stakes and put you in a cave to do this, but I do set up guardrails and hem you in a rich and lush green pasture where you can feast on Me as a grazing sheep – constant being supplied. Where you can rest beside quiet waters and drink from Me. Oh, you will pour out as I open and direct.
Yes, the noise of this age is plentiful. Do what I prompt and I will lead you into this spacious, yet boundaried, place.
Prayer: Oh Lord, Your boundary lines for my life have fallen for me in pleasant places. I receive Your word by faith.
Psalm 16:1-11 (NIV)
“Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge. I say to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.’ I say of the holy people who are in the land, ‘They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.’ Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more. I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods or take up their names on my lips. Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
