In Awe of God

Take heart, oh weary one. Do not be tossed about with the noise of the world. Look unto the author and perfecter of your faith: Jesus Christ. Worship, praise, pray, seek His face above all else. He is faithful, He is holy, He is mighty, He is true.

You have looked at others and doubted My intimacy with you. My love, all that you have gone through in your life has equipped you for the now. Beloved, I delight in your steps. My love, I deal with My beloveds in different ways. I lead the sheep with My staff, some need more guidance, some frolic wildly in the field, some venture to dangerous territories, some sit quietly at my feet, others graze gently on the grace of my green pastures. I lead those with lambs in a gentler way. I lead each as they have strength to walk, and I carry the weary ones on my shoulders.

You have run frantically through the meadows fretting that I did not see you or care for you. Beloved, you have still been in my meadow. Now run without fear, graze on the green grass, drink of the cool refreshing streams. Fill yourself up with Me. Be at ease and dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Though the waves and torrents of the ways of the world scream despair and chaos and fear, My beloveds need fear not. I have engraved them on the palms of My hands. I lead and guide and direct their steps.

Do and continue to do what I’ve called you to do. Do not let the seeming look of the circumstance stop you from expanding. What would I desire to go and create and pour out through you? Come and let us reason together. Not as the world reasons, but as I , only I can do through you.

Do not fret when man says, “It shall be this way or that.” No man knows the future, it is merely speculation based on the facts they think they have. But I am the truth, the light, the way. I Am.

While you are in life bring My light to the nations. Shine boldly so all may see and hope in Me. Do not give up but continue to work and be faithful until you stand before Me face to face.  Hear Me say to Thee, this is the way, walk ye in it.

Open wide your mouths I will fill them with awe. You see only the beginnings of My great workings in your lives. You have prayed and waited and believed even in light of disappointment. I am pleased with your willingness to follow Me. I will make your way straight. I Am your great reward. No good thing do I withhold from you.

Psalm 81:1-16

Sing for joy to God our strength; shout aloud to the God of Jacob! Begin the music, strike the timbrel, play the melodious harp and lyre. Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon, and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival; this is a decree for Israel,an ordinance of the God of Jacob. When God went out against Egypt, he established it as a statute for Joseph. I heard an unknown voice say: “I removed the burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket.
In your distress you called and I rescued you,I answered you out of a thundercloud; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Hear me, my people, and I will warn you – if you would only listen to me, Israel! You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not worship any god other than me.

I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt.Open wide your mouth and I will fill it. “But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices. “If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways, how quickly I would subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes! Those who hate the Lord would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever. But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”

Isaiah 40:1-31

Comfort, comfort My people,”says your God. “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her forced labor has been completed; her iniquity has been pardoned. For she has received from the hand of the LORD double for all her sins.” A voice of one calling: “Prepare the way for the LORD in the wilderness; and make a straight highway for our God in the desert. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill made low; the uneven ground will become smooth, and the rugged land a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all humanity together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

A voice says, “Cry out!” And I asked, “What should I cry out?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall when the breath of the LORD blows on them; indeed, the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.”

Go up on a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news. Raise your voice loudly, O Jerusalem, herald of good news. Lift it up,do not be afraid! Say to the cities of Judah, “Here is your God!” Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and His arm establishes His rule. His reward is with Him, and His recompense accompanies Him.

He tends His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart. He gently leads the nursing ewes. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on a scale and the hills with a balance?

Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or informed Him as His counselor? Whom did He consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the paths of justice? Who imparted knowledge to Him and showed Him the way of understanding? Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are considered a speck of dust on the scales; He lifts up the islands like fine dust. Lebanon is not sufficient for fuel, nor its animals enough for a burnt offering.

All the nations are as nothing before Him; He regards them as nothingness and emptiness. To whom will you liken God? To what image will you compare Him? To an idol that a craftsman casts and a metalworker overlays with gold and fits with silver chains? To one bereft of an offering who chooses wood that will not rot, who seeks a skilled craftsman to set up an idol that will not topple?

Do you not know?Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the foundation of the earth? He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth; its dwellers are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. He brings the princes to nothing and makes the rulers of the earth meaningless. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner have their stems taken root in the ground, than He blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like stubble.

“To whom will you liken Me, or who is My equal?” asks the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high: Who created all these? He leads forth the starry host by number; He calls each one by name. Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

Why do you say, O Jacob, and why do you assert, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD, and my claim is ignored by my God”? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary; His understanding is beyond searching out. He gives power to the faint and increases the strength of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall. But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
