Chase After Me

Cease from chasing after this man or that to receive My move. Chase after Me. As you seek Me, I will be found by You. I will not leave you out in the cold, but will bring you into My presence. Here all is changed, here all is possible. My vessels are not infallible, but I Am. My vessels should point you to Me. I will teach you with My Holy Spirit, through My word. Here is My truth revealed. There is a place for My vessels to build up My church and to bring in those who do not know Me – to teach, to reveal, and to encourage. But as I bring you closer to Me I tell you to press into Me.

Yes, I use the body of Christ and gifts of the Spirit poured through those who are called by My name, but let your focus be on Me and these will confirm My word. Some are apostles, prophets, evangelists, preachers, and teachers. My gifts are evidenced through My vessels speaking in tongues, healing, words of knowledge, prophecy, teaching, encouragement, giving, leading, and all manner of miracles. When you see these fruits of the Spirit manifested through My people do not stop there – press into Me. See what I would have for you to do, see what I would reveal to you. It will always align with My word.

Be not discouraged when My vessels mess up, for they are only human. I do not condemn but say, ‘Come on along, let Me take you higher.’ So too, you move on with Me. I orchestrate a beautiful symphony of vessels manifesting My presence, pouring out My love, showing the world My light. Play your part with all confidence in Me, for I need your sound to make the song of My church complete.

John 14:25-26

All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Romans 12:3-8

“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.  We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”

I Corinthians 12:1-11

“Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.  You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, ‘Jesus be cursed,’ and no one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ except by the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.  There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.”

I Corinthians 12:27-28

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.  And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.”

Ephesians 4:11-16

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
