Be Still & Know

When you are far spent you must take time to rest, did not even I steal away to pray and rest. When you are weary you are hindered from hearing Me. You are residing in a human body and must know its limitations, although they can be overcome, at times all you need is rest. You saw how spent you have been, be merciful to those who find themselves in this same condition.

Do not look around at what others are doing, look only to Me and present your work to Me for approval. I see all you do. Look to Me to arrange your steps and make your path clear, not only in the role you are fulfilling now, but in the ones I bring you into in coming days.

Your responsibility is to seek Me to find out what is priority, I will tell you, I will give you perspective to see through what is just busy work and what needs to be done. I speak to you now of your future. Do not seek to run from Me, for all seems unchanging. Even as Elijah ran from Me rather than facing his responsibilities, I found him in a cave.

Be still and see what I will bring into fruition. I am teaching you to control your emotions and tongue, to not be reactive, but controlled by My Spirit.  I need you to yield to Me to accomplish My purposes through you, through your words and your hands.

I Kings 19:3-11

“Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. ‘I have had enough, Lord,’ he said. ‘Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.’ Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, ‘Get up and eat.’ He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, ‘Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.’ So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. There he went into a cave and spent the night. And the word of the Lord came to him: ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?’ He replied, ‘I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.’ The Lord said, ‘Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.'”

Isaiah 46:9-11

“Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.”

Psalm 18:35-36

“You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great. You provide a broad path for my feet, so that my ankles do not give way.”

Psalm 37:23-24

“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”

Psalm 46:10

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
