Foundational Beliefs

Following are foundational beliefs that guide the author of this site.

Jesus Christ, God the Son

I believe that Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh, born of a virgin, and that He is both divine and human and that He is holy, sinless and was crucified as the vicarious substitute for man’s transgressions, and that He was resurrected from the dead, ascended on high, and that He is coming again personally, visibly and in great power and glory.

Inspiration of the Scriptures

I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, both the Old and New Testaments. (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12) (John 14:1-3; Matthew 1:23; Isaiah 7:14; Acts 2:36)

God

I believe in one God revealed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17, 28:2; John 17)

Blood Atonement

I believe in the saving power of the Blood of Jesus and His imputed righteousness. (Acts 4:12; Romans 4:1-9; Romans 5:1-11; Ephesians 1:3-15)

Salvation

I believe that the terms of salvation is belief in the Lord Jesus Christ that leads to repentance.

Holy Spirit

I believe the Holy Spirit to be the third person of the trinity whose purpose in the redemption of man is to convict men of sin, regenerate the repentant believer, guide the believer into ALL truth, indwell and give gifts to believers as He wills, that they may minister as Christ would to men. I believe that the manifestations of the Holy Spirit as recorded in 1 Corinthians 12:8-11.

Divine Healing

I believe God’s will is for His people is to be free from sickness and disease. I believe that divine healing is provided for in the Atonement (Isaiah 53:5) and may be appropriated by the Gift of Healing (1 Corinthians 19:12), laying on of hands (Mark 16:18), anointing with oil by the Elders (James 5:14-16), or by a direct act of receiving this provision by faith (Mark 11:23).

Water Baptism

I believe that Baptism is a symbol of identification with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection, and that it is an act of obedience and does not produce salvation. I believe in immersion in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:15-16; Acts 8:38).

Second Coming of Jesus Christ

I believe that Jesus Christ was bodily resurrected (Luke 24:39-43) and that the day is coming when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God and will be resurrected (John 5:25-29) the righteous will be resurrected to life with Christ and the wicked to eternal damnation.

Heaven and Hell

I believe that the Bible clearly sets forth the doctrine of Hell for the unsaved (Matthew 23:33, 25:34; Luke 16:19) and Heaven for the saved.  (John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:11-15)

Man

I believe that man, in his natural state, is a sinner, lost and undone, without hope, and without God.  (Romans 3:19-23; Galatians 3:22; Ephesians 3:1-2, 12) toward God for sin, and personal heartfelt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which results in regeneration of the person.

I believe salvation is entirely by grace of our Lord and not of works. Works are excluded except as FRUIT of salvation. (Acts 3:19-20; Romans 4:1-5; Ephesians 2:8-10) disciples did, to practice the separated life from the world and unto Christ and to set standards of conduct, which shall exalt our Lord and His Church (Romans 12: 1-3; 2 Corinthians 6:17) operate in present day churches which yield to the Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 11:13; John 7:37-39).

I believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 19:1-7) is for all believers as promised by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:11) and Jesus (Acts 1:4-5,8) and Peter (Acts 2:38-41), was witnessed by the early disciples of Christ (Acts 2:4) and is evidenced by many present day disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
