When anxiety surrounds; when inundated with hopeless reports coming through every channel; when even the atmosphere in our homes, office, marketplace, cars, trains, planes, etc. seems to be so filled with a thickness of dread that you could almost reach out and touch it; do not despair! Rather turn your eyes upon the Lord and offer your plight to Him. Worship Him with all that is in you and give Him the battle. But you say in your heart, “But that’s too simple!” Yep! But it works, for it is a Kingdom of God principle.
The battle is not yours, but Gods – this phrase is full of truth beyond our understanding. Everything can change even from a moment of pure worship to Jesus Christ, in turning our hearts to Him. He can make way out of no way. He can change the atmosphere from despair to peace and hope. He can move upon the hearts of mankind. He can change even us to withstand by a supernatural strength. He can elevate our mindset to view the ever changing circumstances from His vantage point not from underneath the heavy load of care. He can put in our hearts wise and timely words to say or actions to take.
Prayer: Oh, Bless the Lord, oh My soul, and all that is within Me bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, oh My soul, and forget not His benefits: He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He makes a way out of no way, for no weapon forged against me shall prosper. God move and work and transform me into Your image moment by moment and battle by battle until I reflect Your pure, Holy, and glorious light. Oh what a day it shall be in Thee!
Psalm 103:1-22
“Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits – who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children – with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will. Praise the Lord, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the Lord, my soul.”
II Chronicles 20:15-17
He [Jahaziel son of Zechariah] said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”
